Study Group of Specific Theme

Klesis regularly hold study groups focused on specific themes. Currently, we are offering two study programs:

1. “Work as a Blessing from God” Study Group

This is a 9-session online study program aimed at redefining “work” from a biblical perspective. It provides an opportunity to learn how to receive and celebrate work as a wonderful blessing from our Creator. Through small-group online discussions, participants can share their experiences and learn together.

Details:

• Duration: August to November 2024 (Next session planned for Spring 2025)
• Participation Fee: Free
• Materials: Participants will receive a PDF text and short videos for each session.

Session Topics:

1. Work was a gift from God.
2. The Fall and suffering in work.
3. God’s calling continues today.
4. The promised One has come.
5. Jesus Christ and the Sermon on the Mount.
6. Jesus promises ultimate help to those who seek.
7. Where do you place your identity?
8. God invites us to work together with Him.
9. Knowing God more deeply through work.

2. “Discovering Your Calling” Study Group

Do you feel a deep sense of fulfillment and joy in your daily work or business? This question relates to discovering your vocation—your calling in work. According to a survey, fewer than 30% of people consider their current job their vocation.

The Christian concept of “calling” provides a new framework for understanding our work and life, leading to a conviction of what one should dedicate their life to. This 7-session online group study offers a chance to deepen your understanding of “calling” and reflect on your personal vocation.

Details:

• Duration: 7 sessions, each 1 hour long.
• Participation Fee: Free for the first offering.
• Group Size: Limited (registration will close once capacity is reached).

Session Topics (tentative):

1. Seeking to discover your vocation.
2. What is calling?
3. Receiving gifts and creating value.
4. Hearing the Creator’s call.
5. Understanding Pitsfalls in pursuing your calling.
6. Building a vocation in work.
7. Summary and reflection (sharing session).

• Weekend Group (Online, Saturdays or Sundays, 9:00 PM–10:00 PM)

Schedules may be adjusted after participants are confirmed. If necessary, you may switch between weekday and weekend sessions.
